AI Foundations - lesson 2
How to ask, so you get something useful
The difference between a useless answer and a useful one is almost always in the request.
What you will take away:
- A weak prompt is usually missing context, not cleverness. The model cannot see your situation unless you describe it.
- Four parts cover most requests: role, context, task, and format.
- Give the model an example of what good looks like. One example beats three paragraphs of instruction.
- Treat the first answer as a draft to argue with, not a result to accept.
